The multi-functional stepped drill with AlCrN coating and unique SMART STEP technology for high-precision, flexible use in sheet metal and, for the first time, allows drilling of thicker workpieces made of conventional steel up to 1300 N/mm² strength, cast iron, aluminium, brass, bronze, Plexiglas, plastic, and wood.

Precise, circular drilling

No tool changes and shorter machining times

  • Saves pre-drilling with smaller twist drill bits, precise tapping without running off centre

  • Saves extra deburring, as the next largest step diameter performs this function

  • Combines numerous drill hole diameters in a single tool

  • Very fast tapping and accelerated drilling progress due to four high-performance cutting edges and SMART STEP technology

Flexible, smart use

  • Now also suitable for thicker workpieces with a material thickness of up to 10 mm (compared to conventional stepped drill bits, which are limited to sheet metal up to 4 mm thick)

  • Specially designed version that combines all core hole dimensions (dia. 3.3-10.2 mm) for through hole threads M4-M12 to 1.5xD in a single tool

  • For use in cordless screwdrivers and hand, box column and pillar drills.

  • Compared to using annular cutters with magnetic core drills, there are no issues when accessing hard-to-reach places (e.g. on T-beams) or due to adhesive force being too low

Extremely comfortable drilling

  • Effortless drilling

  • Completely smooth running without getting caught in the workpiece

  • No warping of sheet metal

  • Simple boring or enlarging of an existing drill hole

  • Reduced force exerted on the tool during the drilling process

AlCrN multi-layer wear protection coating

  • Extremely high temperature resistance up to 1,050 °C

  • Very high coating hardness of 3,000 HV

  • Multi-layer structure for optimal chip removal and improved cutting properties (prevents material becoming welded)

3-flat shank

Prevents spinning in the drill chuck, ensures optimal power transmission and protects the drill chuck from damage

Product packaging made of 100 % PCR (recycled plastic from household waste), 100 % recyclable and Cradle to Cradle Certified® Bronze

Instructions
  • Ensure that there is sufficient cooling/lubrication

  • Make sure that the feed is even

  • Observe the speed table

  • Do not push during core drilling — the stepped drill bit will automatically retract into the sheet metal

  • Pay attention to the total length of the stepped drill bit during drilling

The packaging unit defines the number of articles in one packaging. In the catalog segment you can choose from different packaging units if a pop-up menu is displayed.

Just leave the field empty if you don't know the packaging unit when directly entering the article number in the shopping basket or when importing with Easy-/VarioScan. The packaging unit will be determined automatically.
The article number is made up of the following: VVVVAAABBB
VVVV = 4 digits for prefix number (please note that the first digit is currently always 0)
AAA = 3 digits for dimension part 1
BBB = 3 digits for dimension part 2

Example article number structures:
Example 1: Screw with dimensions of 4x10 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
00574 10 (2 spaces between the 4 and the 10)

Example 2: Screw with dimensions of 10x20 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
005710 20 (1 space between the 10 and the 20)

Example 3: Flat washer with an internal diameter of 6 mm:
VVVVAAABBB
04076
Price per packaging unit (PU):
The displayed price is always in line with the displayed packaging, if the PU is 250 the price for 250 units, if the PU is 300 the price for 300 units.

Price with price key representation (PSL):
The price always applies to a quantity ruled through the price key:
Price for 1 unit
Price for 100 units
Price for 1000 units
The quantity shows the number of pieces or units of measure contained in the order or delivery for the respective article.
In contrast to sales packaging and secondary packaging, the disposal costs for chemical-technical products are shown separately. The breakdown of the individual costs can be found on the relevant products and also in the shopping cart, as well as in our General Terms and Conditions (GTC).
