Packaging unit

The packaging unit defines the number of articles in one packaging. In the catalog segment you can choose from different packaging units if a pop-up menu is displayed.

Just leave the field empty if you don't know the packaging unit when directly entering the article number in the shopping basket or when importing with Easy-/VarioScan. The packaging unit will be determined automatically.

Structure of our article number

The article number is made up of the following: VVVVAAABBB
VVVV = 4 digits for prefix number (please note that the first digit is currently always 0)
AAA = 3 digits for dimension part 1
BBB = 3 digits for dimension part 2

Example article number structures:
Example 1: Screw with dimensions of 4x10 mm:
00574 10 (2 spaces between the 4 and the 10)

Example 2: Screw with dimensions of 10x20 mm:
005710 20 (1 space between the 10 and the 20)

Example 3: Flat washer with an internal diameter of 6 mm:

Information on price display

Price per packaging unit (PU):
The displayed price is always in line with the displayed packaging, if the PU is 250 the price for 250 units, if the PU is 300 the price for 300 units.

Price with price key representation (PSL):
The price always applies to a quantity ruled through the price key:
Price for 1 unit
Price for 100 units
Price for 1000 units

The quantity shows the number of pieces or units of measure contained in the order or delivery for the respective article.
In contrast to sales packaging and secondary packaging, the disposal costs for chemical-technical products are shown separately. The breakdown of the individual costs can be found on the relevant products and also in the shopping cart, as well as in our General Terms and Conditions (GTC).

Stainless steel A2, partial thread, large washer head, AW drive, ring thread in tip area

  • Connects the wood instead of splitting it

Large washer head

  • High penetration resistance / high consolidation effect.

AW drive — more power

  • Optimal force transmission

  • Excellent fit

  • Rapid finding

  • Screw settles securely

  • Virtually no unscrewing of bit

  • No wobbling

Asymmetric single thread – faster speed

  • Low screw-in torque – extends the service life of the processing machine and the bit insert

  • High over-turning force

  • Faster screwing than conventional particle board screws

  • Very precise positioning thanks to the 30° tip.

Ring thread — less tendency of the wood to split, very few blow-outs

  • Low splitting forces, in particular when screwing close to edges

  • Punch effect of ring thread largely prevents blow-outs

  • Corrosion-resistant, austenitic stainless steel A2 (1.4301; 1.4567)

Use Würth timber construction software to measure the ASSY screws with a diameter of more than 5mm. Austenitic stainless steel is characterised by a high degree of corrosion resistance against aggressive industrial air, sea air, tap water, river water, mine water and salt water, as well as woods containing tannic acid. It is resistant to acid to a certain extent and not suitable for atmospheres containing steel-grade chlorine gas.

The range of applications of the various stainless steels is contained in the following ISER (German Information Office for Rustproof Stainless Steel, Non-Rusting Steels for Various Environmental Conditions, www.edelstahl-rostfrei.de, Information Sheet 828) table. Rustproof stainless steels (e.g. material no. 1.4016) are recommended there for use in atmospheric processes only for use in a rural environment, and here as well only with great restrictions. We therefore recommend only using austenitic stainless steels for outdoor applications, taking the environmental conditions into account. Stainless steel A4 is especially suitable for use in an industrial atmosphere and for use near the sea. ASSY 3.0 particle board screws are optimised for use in wooden materials. When used in plastic anchors, a reduction of the load-bearing capacity is possible. Therefore, we recommend only using screws without optimised thread tips (drilling tip, mating thread, ring thread, serrated edge, self-clearing groove, etc.) in plastic dowels, e.g. Würth ASSY D, prefix 0151 (countersunk head) and prefix 0153 (pan head).

When using these screws, please follow ETA-11/0190 specifications.
